Chapter 101: Can We Still Play Together Properly?
Chi Yuheng seemed to have gotten used to it and asked calmly, “What’s the reason today?”
Ye Ran began to make up a lie, “It’s Chi Youchu. My good brother hasn’t seen me for a long time and said he missed me. He asked me to go play at his house tonight, so I’ll be sleeping over there.”

Chi Youchu shook his head like a rattle. Before he could say anything, a message came to his phone.
After reading it, the corners of Chi Youchu’s mouth curled up. “You don’t need to take me back. I can go back myself.”
Ye Ran clicked his tongue twice. “Is it really you going back yourself, or is someone picking you up?”
Forgetting his brother once he had a boyfriend—Chi Youchu was a typical example.
“You go back first. He’ll be here in a while.”

Pei Si picked up Chi Youchu, and Ye Ran walked to the parking lot alone.
the hospital parking lot was full, so Ye Ran parked his car a bit far away. He walked almost to the edge before finding his car.
The edge of the parking lot had no streetlights. Only the lights from the main building in the distance swept across diagonally, casting large areas of deep and shallow shadows on the ground.

With a “bang,” the door closed, and the van sped away from the parking lot toward the outskirts.
By the time Ye Ran woke up again, it was still pitch black—he must be wearing a hood.
There was still a faint pain at the back of his neck, a dull sensation coming from the place he had been struck, spreading along his spine and leaving him with no strength.
He tried to move his limbs and immediately felt a sense of restraint.
His wrists and ankles were tightly bound with coarse hemp rope, tightening around his skin. With even a slight struggle, the rope dug into his flesh, bringing a sharp pain.
“Awake?” A raspy voice rang out beside him.
At the same time, another familiar voice was calling his name, “Ye Ran…”
