Can’t Escape After Online Dating with the Gloomy Yandere chapter 23

Chapter 23: Ordering Male Models

“What? You and Shi He are roommates?”

“What? Han He’an came to find you today?”

Teng Yu was shocked as he drove. He had drunk too much yesterday and missed too much. Hearing that Ruan Zhimian wanted to buy a phone card, he immediately agreed. “No need to go buy it; I’ll have someone run the errand. Today, we focus on relaxing.”

“A-Yu, what are we going to play?”

“I’ve called a few dancing Alphas; we’ll watch them perform.”

The “good baby” Ruan Zhimian nodded. Suddenly remembering Teng Yu’s situation, he asked, “What’s your relationship with… that guy?”

“Don’t mention it. We’re not close.”

Teng Yu rubbed his temples. “He should be back in Hong Kong today; they can’t do without him there. Let’s just treat him as dead. Next time you see him, treat it as a resurrection.”

What a unique way of putting it.

Ruan Zhimian held his soft small face, looking out the window. “A-Yu, you must be happy.”

“Mianmian, of course I’ll be happy, and you will be too.”

Teng Yu didn’t catch the slight hint of farewell in Ruan Zhimian’s tone.

To pique Ruan Zhimian’s interest, he began telling him what was for lunch and sharing various gossip.

“I didn’t go to the clubhouse yesterday. Someone got drunk and tried to harass our staff. Several bottles of wine worth hundreds of thousands were smashed. Early this morning, he told the lawyer he wanted to settle. I don’t want money; I want him in prison.”

Teng Yu had followed his grandparents since childhood and grew up in the Hong Kong company. What hadn’t he seen? Running around every day, he wasn’t any less busy than others.

Ruan Zhimian clapped his small hands. “A-Yu is amazing.”

The sports car drove right up to the clubhouse. Teng Yu tossed the keys to the valet and pulled Ruan Zhimian upstairs. “No matter what’s bothering you, you’ll be happy after eating.”

The melodious sound of a piano drifted through the hall. The marble floor reflected the luxurious chandeliers hanging above, and the air was filled with a subtle, gentle incense scent.

Ruan Zhimian and Teng Yu walked into the VIP private room. The dining table was covered with exquisite, steaming dishes—mostly home-cooked style, just delivered from a private chef.

Ruan Zhimian didn’t like being disturbed, so Teng Yu didn’t call anyone in. He first served Ruan Zhimian a bowl of soup and turned on the projector. “Eat until you’re eighty percent full; there’s afternoon tea.”

Ruan Zhimian picked up a small porcelain spoon and drank obediently. “It’s delicious.”

Right after eating, Ruan Zhimian installed the new SIM card. The busy CEO Ruan called. “Mianmian, the Han family came to apologize just now, saying they accidentally had a conflict with your roommate. You aren’t hurt, are you?”

This was Ruan Zhimian’s mother, Ruan Jiarong—a female Alpha who had less than ten days of rest a year.

It had been a long time since he called her “Mom.”

“Mom… I’m not hurt.”

“Mianmian, why didn’t you tell us your roommate is an Alpha? If you really want to stay in the dorms, I’ll transfer you…”

“Shi He is a very good person. Han He’an provoked him on purpose and attacked him with pheromones. I think there’s something wrong with Han He’an’s character now.”

After the “cat” interrupted, he began to file a complaint surreptitiously. “Mom, ignore them. I’m grown up now; I can tell good from bad.”

Today’s Ruan Zhimian was unexpectedly free of arguments.

This was what growing up meant.

“Good. If you need anything and can’t find me, find Assistant An. Mom has to get back to work.”

Ten minutes ago, the adjacent VIP room opened. The black-haired, black-eyed Alpha stood at the railing, glancing faintly at the room next door before handing over a black card.

“Open this one.”

Wen Song, arriving a step late, rubbed his head. He followed Shi He in dazed confusion, watching him order alcohol. “You really want to drink?”

In the past… didn’t he hate drinking?

Also, where was his wife? How did they break up?

Shi He picked up a bottle of wine. He poured a glass and downed it in one go. Facing his phone screen, he tapped incessantly, sending continuous messages.

Wen Song took a peek. He should have brought Gu Xici instead.

“You really are my ancestor.”

Not long after Ruan Zhimian hung up the phone, he hugged a cushion with both hands to watch an animated movie.

He was also a bit curious about what kind of performance Teng Yu had prepared; he hadn’t seen Alphas dance before.

The door to the VIP room was gently knocked by a waiter. Ruan Zhimian turned around. “Enter.”

“Young Master Ruan, someone wants to see you.”

Ruan Zhimian stood up. He walked to the door, his small face quickly turning icy. “Why are you here? Are you investigating me?”

The person outside was Han He’an.

It made sense; in the past, Han He’an had used Ruan Zhimian’s connections to move freely in these places.

“A friend of mine just ran into you.”

He had likely never coaxed someone so submissively before. The veins on the back of his hand were bulging, and he was nearly grinding his teeth. “Mianmian, what exactly do I have to do for you to forgive me?”

For the whole morning, Han He’an had finally managed to contact Ruan Jiarong. Unexpectedly, after she heard him out, she turned around and asked him, “Why is our Mianmian having a falling out with you?”

“I admit, many people like me, but that’s their problem. What does it have to do with me?”

“You want me to forgive you?”

Ruan Zhimian didn’t ask the waiter to leave. He looked up, his beautiful and clear dark eyes reflecting the fragmented light of the ceiling lamp—extraordinarily striking. Wearing a white round-neck sweater, his neck glowed with a translucent white light like high-quality suet jade.

Since when did Ruan Zhimian become so good-looking?

Han He’an subconsciously took a step forward, reaching out as if to hug Ruan Zhimian. “Mianmian…”

With a pop, an exceptionally crisp slap rang out.

Ruan Zhimian’s eyes were tinged red as he looked coldly at the incredulous Han He’an, who was clutching his face.

“Why should I forgive you?”

Ruan Zhimian actually… hit him? A lowly Beta—he only came to coax him because of the Ruan family’s pressure.

Han He’an was beyond furious. He grabbed Ruan Zhimian’s wrist heavily. “Ruan Zhimian! Do you think I’d apologize to you if it weren’t for the Ruan family?!”

“You even dare to hit me.”

Just then, a slender and lean black figure appeared from the side. Cold, thin phoenix eyes lifted. “Let go.”

The S-grade Alpha’s amber pheromones appeared with almost crushing force, sweeping over like a tidal wave. For a low-tier Alpha, the sense of oppression was immense.

Han He’an’s legs went soft. His heart wouldn’t stop trembling, and his breathing became urgent. “You…”

Shi He exerted force with his fingers, tossing Han He’an aside. He spoke calmly to the waiter: “Restrain him.”

How could Shi He be here?

“Zhimian, are you okay?”

Ruan Zhimian smelled alcohol. He leaned in to sniff, his small face scrunched up. “I’m fine. Did you drink?”

“A little.”

How could he?

He had just taken Shi He to the hospital.

No, the messages he sent today were too…

It was because of him again.

Ruan Zhimian looked at Shi He unmovingly.

Han He’an took a deep breath, furious and struggling awkwardly. “Let go! On what grounds are you grabbing me? Ruan Zhimian, what is the meaning of this?!”

The Shi He he hated most was now standing side-by-side with Ruan Zhimian, looking as if they had a good relationship.

“How did you become like this?”

“I’m telling you, you are my fiancé. That won’t change.”

Ruan Zhimian didn’t listen. He said to the bodyguards who had rushed up, “Take him away. Don’t let him in again.”

A person like Shi He must be jealous of me and wants to steal my fiancé. Han He’an had to admit that he couldn’t lose Ruan Zhimian’s support.

“Mianmian, I’ll come find you again tomorrow!”

Han He’an shouted as he left, brushing past Teng Yu who was stepping out of the elevator.

Teng Yu frowned as he walked upstairs, scanning the surroundings. He had been meeting a friend downstairs; so many things had happened. Wen Song stood at the door, stepping up as the scapegoat. He said to Teng Yu, “Hello, I’m Shi He’s childhood friend.”

“Shi He isn’t in a good mood because of his boyfriend.”

“I brought him here.”

The pheromone purifiers on the entire second floor were turned on, and the scene was quickly tidied up.

After Teng Yu quickly handled everything, he pulled his Mianmian away. “We’re going to continue playing. We won’t chat with you two.”

“Mianmian, those Alphas have good bodies. I’ll call them over to dance for you.”

Several Alphas. Dancing.

By the door, Shi He’s phoenix eyes lifted slightly. Baby, you really know how to play.
