I Raised a Cub in the Military Academy Chapter 21.3

Part 3

Up to this point, the weapon for Yu Feiwen was finished. All that was left was to polish the exterior according to the Source Weapon Association’s standard appearance.

While doing this, Yun Yingzhi thought to himself that the standardized weapons mass-produced by the Association weren’t necessarily pretty and their performance was average, but they were incredibly stable. They were suitable for ordinary warriors who couldn’t afford custom weapons. Overall, this look definitely gave people a sense of security.

Soon, he finished the exterior. During the final step, he subconsciously etched a little white rabbit inside the ring-shaped weapon.

Finally, the manufacturing was complete.

Yun Yingzhi stared at the source weapon, feeling more and more satisfied the longer he looked.

As his mind relaxed, extreme fatigue hit him. He felt like he could fall asleep right where he stood.

He decided to take a nap, and then…

Oh, right. Take a nap, then set an alarm to go to the mixer.

With that thought, he checked the time. It was already 7:00 PM.

Yun Yingzhi: “…”

He was seriously overtime!

Forget sleeping; if he went home to change now, he definitely wouldn’t make it. He had to wash up as fast as possible and head straight to the venue.

Since he spent so much time at Alvin’s studio, there was a lounge, a bathroom, and some of his spare clothes there for comfort.

He rushed to the bathroom in the lounge, washed up, and dug out some clothes.

The outfit was a simple white shirt. It was a bit loose on him, revealing his pale neck.

Yun Yingzhi wanted to change into something more formal, but he couldn’t. Most of the other clothes were bought for him by Alvin or Yun Yinghui—for instance, little white rabbit pajamas or dinosaur print shirts. Each one was more childish than the last.

Normally, he didn’t wear them out, but because they were bought by his two favorite people, he often wore them in the studio.

Excluding those “cute” clothes, the only thing he could wear out was this oversized white shirt.

On the bottom were black trousers that reached his ankles, revealing a small section of fair skin.

Yun Yingzhi dressed, blow-dried his short hair, and headed out.

Halfway there, he realized he’d forgotten the newly made source weapon and scrambled back to get it.

By the time everything was ready, it was nearly 7:20 PM.

Walking out of the studio, a Yun family hovercar was waiting.

Yun Yingzhi got in, gave the coordinates, and asked the driver to speed up.

“Yes, sir,” the driver replied, and the hovercar smoothly entered the air track.

Before, while rolling around in the pile of materials, Yun Yingzhi’s spirit had been extremely hyped. Now that the materials were gone and he didn’t need to maintain high focus, the lack of sleep over several days finally caught up to him.

He felt tired, hungry, and sleepy.

His head began to nod. His whole body felt soft. Yun Yingzhi thought that his human form was a bit too large to sleep comfortably in the car. At this moment, transforming into his second form was a wise choice.

Normally, Yun Yingzhi would never think of transforming into his second form to sleep in front of others, but in his state of extreme exhaustion, he clearly wasn’t himself.

Just as he was about to transform, his terminal chimed.

He forced his eyes open. It was a call from Yu Feiwen.

He answered.

The next moment, the hidden holographic projection displayed the scene on the other side.

Yu Feiwen, Ji Xiaobo, and Jing Haomiao had already finished their styling. Dressed in high-end suits, they were standing in the hotel lobby.

Behind them, several staff members in matching uniforms walked past.

Since it was Yun Yingzhi’s first time attending a mixer, he looked at the background with some curiosity. “You’re all there?” As he spoke, his head kept drooping down, clearly still half-asleep.

The driver in the front seat frequently glanced back at Yun Yingzhi with worry. Fortunately, modern hovercars had AI steering; drivers usually only had to input the address and monitor the speed, so accidents weren’t a concern.

Often, the staff in the Yun household—from the butler down to the gardeners—would worry about the youngest master, who seemed the most fragile of the three children.

Even though the young master ate quite a bit, he still looked like a delicate breeze could knock him over. In fact, he really was that weak, which always added an extra layer of concern.

They thought that if the young master were their child, they would definitely pamper him like a little princess. How could Mrs. Yun be so insistent on sending such a little white rabbit to a military academy to suffer?

Look at what the child had been pushed to.

So pitiful.

Thinking this, the driver quietly informed Butler Zhang of Yun Yingzhi’s current state. Soon, the “pitifulness” of the Yun family’s young master spread again through their small circle.

What a worrisome child.

On the other end of the call, the trio looked at Yun Yingzhi with concern.

Ji Xiaobo said, “We’re here. Yingzhi, you look really tired?”

Yun Yingzhi nodded, trying his best to stay awake, but within twenty seconds, his head was drooping again.

Ji Xiaobo asked, “Can you still make it today?”

For a split second, Yun Yingzhi wanted to say he wasn’t coming.

However, his eyes shifted to the empty dining tables in the background. The staff were currently setting out the food.

Yun Yingzhi thought: he was hungry. He needed to eat.

Going home and having the butler prepare dinner would take time. It would be better to just go there, eat, and then go home—or even just sleep at the hotel.

With his brain not functioning properly, he even thought that since his second form was a tiny rabbit, he could sleep anywhere.

Sleeping at home was sleep, and curling up somewhere in the restaurant was also sleep.

Yun Yingzhi said, “No, I’m coming.” He was going there to eat and fill his stomach.

Moreover, he wanted to give the source weapon to Yu Feiwen and talk to him about the final payment.

Thinking this, his head continued to nod. Under the bewildered gazes of the people on the other side of the projection, he fell completely asleep.

The three on the other end were shocked. How sleepy was he exactly?

What shocked them even more was that Yun Yingzhi probably felt his current sleeping position was uncomfortable, because he transformed directly from his human form into a little white rabbit, sprawling out on the seat.

Yu Feiwen and the others: “…”

Suddenly, the three heard a deep voice. Their nerves instantly tightened. They turned around and saw two people standing side by side.

It was Elvis and Wei Yuanqing.

Elvis was one of the most noble people in the Empire, while Wei Yuanqing was…

A devil.

After experiencing the special training Wei Yuanqing had arranged for them, they were certain he was truly difficult to deal with. He was a demon.

The three froze, their expressions awkward.

Following the duo’s gaze, Yu Feiwen and the others realized they were looking at the little white rabbit in the video projection.

Elvis’s face was cold and he didn’t speak, but his eyes were very honest. He kept staring at the cute, white, fluffy rabbit. His hand twitched, then twitched again.

Elvis thought to himself: I want to rua it.

Wei Yuanqing’s smile deepened as he said, “How cute.”

Elvis shot Wei Yuanqing a glance and said expressionlessly, “Mine.”

Wei Yuanqing: “…Oh.”

Yu Feiwen and the others: “…” They felt the Prince was a bit dangerous, and…

Today’s Prince gave off a really annoying vibe.

After thinking about it, Yu Feiwen felt it wasn’t right to let Elvis and Wei Yuanqing watch his friend sleep.

Just as Yu Feiwen was about to end the video call, Elvis seemed to perceive his intention through some micro-detail and issued an order: “Don’t turn it off.”

At the same time, several vines appeared, directly restricting Yu Feiwen’s movements. His hands were completely bound by the vines, unable to move.

Elvis gave the order, and Wei Yuanqing acted without a word.

Yu Feiwen’s scalp went numb. He looked cautiously at Elvis, then at Wei Yuanqing.

When he met Wei Yuanqing’s eyes, he quickly looked away.

The five of them simultaneously turned their gaze back to the rabbit sprawled out in the video projection.

Without the roommates noticing, Elvis had quietly started a screen recording, capturing the rabbit’s wild sleeping posture.

The rabbit began to roll around on the seat.

The rabbit’s size was very small. Theoretically, the seat provided plenty of space for him to stretch out, but…

This rabbit kept rolling and rolling until his tiny white body was suddenly hanging off the edge of the seat.

Elvis’s brow twitched violently. Wei Yuanqing’s brow furrowed slightly, his eyes full of concern.

Yu Feiwen and the others were shocked and wanted to wake the rabbit up, telling him to stop rolling.

However…

The rabbit in the projection had no idea what the five of them were thinking. With one more roll of his tiny body, he fell.

In the nick of time, the driver reached out both hands and caught the rabbit.

Even so, the sleeping rabbit didn’t open his eyes and continued to snooze.

The driver let out a heavy breath.

Seeing the narrow escape, Elvis and the other four felt a genuine sense of relief.

At this moment, they completely failed to realize that the distance from the seat to the floor was not high, and there was a soft carpet below. Even if Yun Yingzhi fell, nothing would happen to him.

They also forgot that as a military academy student, a simple fall like that wouldn’t hurt.

Regardless, they were all feeling heartfelt concern for Yun Yingzhi in that moment.

They even thought to themselves: As expected of a frail little rabbit. Without someone to look after him, even sleeping is fraught with danger.

On the other end of the video.

The driver picked up Yun Yingzhi, subconsciously stroking the fur on the rabbit’s back before placing him back on the seat.

The hovercar continued on.

Finally, they were about to arrive at the destination.

The driver looked at Yun Yingzhi with concern and called out softly, “Young Master.” After calling several times, the rabbit twitched slightly.

In fact, the rabbit really wasn’t a still sleeper. He usually moved around a lot, but hearing the voice, his movements actually became smaller.

The driver said, “Young Master, we will arrive at the Yunshang Hotel in three minutes.”

Yun Yingzhi was finally woken up by the driver.

He opened his eyes groggily, froze for a moment, and realized he had unconsciously transformed into a rabbit.

What happened?

After a moment of daze, he realized his terminal was still connected to a call.

Yun Yingzhi: “…”

His eyelid jumped. The rabbit’s black gem-like eyes looked at the people on the other side of the call.

Count them.

One, two, three, four, five…

Count again.

He hadn’t miscounted. There were indeed five people.
