Chapter 24: The Incompetent and Malicious Ex-Boyfriend (24)
It was almost 4:00 AM when Shen Ci returned home. Just as he opened the door, Ming Yanzhou walked out of his room.
He quickly greeted Shen Ci. “Brother Shen, you’re back.”
Shen Ci hadn’t actually drunk much tonight, but having stayed up so late, combined with the aftereffects of the alcohol, he was still feeling a bit lightheaded. He leaned against the sofa and rubbed his temples. “Why aren’t you asleep yet?”
Before Ming Yanzhou could speak, Ye Qi came out of his room. Looking at the slightly tipsy Shen Ci, his heart stirred. “Ah Ci, you’re finally back.”
Shen Ci looked up at Ye Qi. “Why aren’t you asleep either?”
“I couldn’t sleep while you weren’t back.”
Shen Ci: “…”
Looking at the Ye Qi who had sat down, a bizarre thought flashed through his mind: If only Ye Qi were a woman.
Ming Yanzhou looked at the hand Ye Qi had placed on Shen Ci’s arm, his eyes turning red with jealousy. Ye Qi didn’t give him a single glance.
“Ah Ci, it’s late. Go wash up and rest.”
Shen Ci gave an “Mm.” When he stood up from the sofa, his footsteps faltered, but he was considerately supported by Ye Qi.
“Be careful.”
Shen Ci stood straight and said thank you. Once Shen Ci returned to his room, Ye Qi gave Ming Yanzhou a glance and went back to his own room. Ming Yanzhou stood in place for a moment before returning to his room as well.
When Shen Ci came out of the bathroom after his shower, he was stunned to see Ye Qi sitting on the edge of the bed.
“How did you get in?”
Ye Qi looked at him, his eyes filled with romantic desire. “You gave me the key, forgot?”
Shen Ci: “…” He silently pulled his pajama pants up a bit. “Why aren’t you asleep?”
Ye Qi stood up, took the glass of warm water he’d brought in, and handed it to Shen Ci. “Drink some warm water.”
Shen Ci looked at him, then at the water, and silently took it, draining half the glass in one go. He felt that Ye Qi was truly considerate; no wonder so many people in the book liked him. The temperature of the water was just right, neither too hot nor too cold.
After finishing, he placed the cup on the table aside. “It’s late. Go back to your room and sleep.”
“Ah Ci, I want to sleep with you tonight.”
Shen Ci was struck with alarm. But he still tried his best to suppress the panic in his heart. “Why the sudden desire to sleep together?”
Ye Qi took a step forward and grabbed Shen Ci’s hand. “Ah Ci, don’t you love me? Don’t you want to… touch me?”
Shen Ci: “…” He didn’t.
He suppressed the instinctive stiffness in his heart and instead gently covered Ye Qi’s hand with his own. His voice was soft and slow, with a raspy quality unique to being slightly drunk, yet deliberately tinged with a bit of affection. “How could I not want to? It’s just too late today, and I’m a bit tired…”
He looked down at Ye Qi, his thumb gently stroking the back of Ye Qi’s hand, his tone coaxing. “How about we play another day?”
Ye Qi’s long, narrow eyes were almost overflowing with tenderness as he looked at Shen Ci. He leaned closer to him and lowered his head slightly, his warm breath brushing against Shen Ci’s neck.
“Ah Ci, I want to show you something.”
Shen Ci was a bit puzzled. Then, he saw Ye Qi slowly take off his pajamas—

“Ye Qi, it’s too late today…”

Shen Ci: “…”
He truly never expected that one day he would hear those words from a man’s mouth. According to his imagination, those words should be asked by his future girlfriend while she was being coquettish. Then he would pull the dainty her into his arms and coax her with a doting smile: “I only love you.”
But it definitely wasn’t Ye Qi questioning him like this. He couldn’t exactly pull him into his arms and coax him, saying his favourite was him, right? Firstly, he wasn’t dainty. Secondly… Shen Ci silently took a glance; his “thing” wasn’t small.
After a moment of silence, Shen Ci patted the back of his hand. “Don’t overthink it. How could I not love you… You’re my boyfriend, of course I love you.”
Ye Qi looked into Shen Ci’s eyes. In Shen Ci’s gaze, he saw guilt and perfunctoriness… He saw many emotions, but he alone didn’t see love. This realization made his heart instantly sink to the bottom. If Shen Ci didn’t love him, what should he do?
It took only a second for Ye Qi to come up with the answer. If Shen Ci truly no longer loved him, then he would lock Shen Ci up, so those eyes could only see him. He could only belong to him.
“Ah Ci, I want to sleep with you.”
Shen Ci: “…” Here we go again—
Shen Ci wailed in his heart. When would this mission ever be finished! He was truly worried that one day Ye Qi would lose control and force him to sleep with him. How awkward would that be?

It was too late. Shen Ci felt like his brain couldn’t even turn anymore. He had no doubt he could fall asleep the moment his head hit the pillow. Not wanting to continue arguing with Ye Qi, he could only give a vague agreement.
However, Shen Ci wasn’t actually worried. After all, Ye Qi was a “0” (Bottom). If he didn’t do “that,” the guy couldn’t exactly force himself on him, right? But clearly, he’d underestimated things.

Shen Ci thought he was dreaming, but he quickly woke up. It wasn’t a dream… He truly hadn’t expected Ye Qi would be willing to—
